WAMY Malaysia has organized a Public Speaking Workshop which consists of continuous workshop.This workshop aimed to help our muslim youth to be versatile and adaptable with all types of public speaking (with crowd and camera); eg; general presentation, idea pitches, emceeing, social media personality, and so on.
In all those 6 series of workshop, 3 trainers have been chosen to contribute their expertise in grooming our youth to be the best. They are Mr. Syed Faizal Sitheek Rahman (Learning & Presentation Specialist), Mrs. Nurul Erna Dewi bt Mohd Said (Communication & Personality Consultant), and Mrs. Amie Sofea bt Ahmad (TV Al-Hijrah Host). Around 20 youth have participated in this program and we hope they can optimise their skills and talents for our ummah insya Allah.
On 15 April 2017, the third session of Daawah Series was held with the theme Morality Our Hallmark under the topic Modesty in Islam.
The lecture focused on the modesty in women society, gives types and example from daily life and how we could manage between this concept and work. About 52 participants from different countries attended the program .
Ustazah Sohad Hasan from Palestine was the speaker for this session.
We are looking for some potential youths who are ready to be trained and groomed in their public speaking skills. We want to produce someone who can be versatile and flexible with all types of public speaking; eg; general presentation, idea pitches, emceeing, social media personality etc…
We are also looking for someone who are able to commit to attend all 6 series of continuous workshops which will be held on weekends.

At the first session you will need to pay RM 50 to the organizer, after you successfully attended all 6 sessions, you will be given your RM 30 back. If you are not able to attend all 6 sessions, your RM 30 will not be reimbursed.
All 6 series of workshop is continuous, which means the modules will be started at the 1st session, and end at the 6th, so you are highly encouraged to attend all of them.
WAMY IIUM organised a welcoming trip for new students of the International Islamic University Malaysia, which aims to strengthen the relationships between the new students themselves and the university.
This special taaruf session also to help them to understand the basic knowledge of the Malaysian culture, so to ease for them dealing with the new environment.
The trip was held on Saturday 25 February 2017 and the activities were done in public parks and mosques in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
WAMY Malaysia was invited by Institut Professional Baitulmal (IPB) to give a lecture on Challenges of Dakwah in Multi/Inter Cultural Society.
The lecture was given by WAMY’s CEO, Ustaz Shahrin Awaludin to 160 student from IPB Putrajaya campus on 21 December 2016. WAMY team also share to the students some experience on doing dakwah internationally and WAMY’s Digital Dakwah project.
We hope this sharing will inspire more youth to start doing dakwah and spread the message of Islam to more people.
WAMY Malaysia will organise a Regional Youth Convention (RYC) on 10 and 11 November 2016. Themed “Youth in a Digital World,” the convention will be held at Bangi-Putrajaya Hotel in Bangi, Selangor.
RYC 2016 shall be a good platform for youths in the South East Asia region to gather, learn from professionals and share their experiences in promoting youth development in the highly digital world today. RYC shall be an annual gathering of youths in the region.
The convention is organised with these objectives:
- Highlight the importance of the digital media in the world today
- Discuss the effect of digital media on youth development
- Emphasize the importance of optimizing digital media participation
- Establish a regional digital community among the youths
The Asia Pacific Imams Professionalism Course (IPC) has successfully concluded. The four weeks course was held from 26 September 2016 to 22 October 2016.
The closing ceremony was held on Friday, 22 October 2016 at Institut Latihan Islam Malaysia (ILIM) to mark the completion of this year’s session. The ceremony was attended by Director of ILIM, Hajjah Zawanah Muhammad, Representative of WAMY South East Asia, Dato’ Abang Abdullah Abang Ali, Regional Director for WAMY Australia and South Pacific, Mr Fuad Abdin and CEO of WAMY Malaysia Ustaz Shahrin Awaludin.
